And It Begins........

Well, I'm sitting here listening to the thunder and the rain and hoping that we don't have any bad storms tonight! I hate storms! There are tornado warnings popping up everywhere though! :( Hopefully it won't get too bad! Anyway, lately I have just not really felt like blogging! Just had other things to do and nothing to really talk about! Cake class is going good, we are just learning to make the different flowers so I have no pictures of big cakes to post. I went shopping with my Mom today so we could get our Easter dresses! I'm soo excited about mine! I can't wait to wear it and post pics! I just have to buy some shoes and jewlery to go with it! I also gotta find an Easter shirt for the Hubby, I mean we both gotta look good! I have done laundry since about 5 this evening. I decided to wait to fold and hang them till I had them all done! Probably not the best idea since they are now piled high on my couch and I'm on my last couple of loads! HA! Oh well, I don't know if you got much from this post! I think it's mostly crazy ramblings from me! HA! Have a great Friday guys and an even better weekend!

Home and a Finale!

First off, Heath came home this morning from Mississippi and surprised me! I'm glad to have him back home!

Last Monday was my Mom and I's final beginner cake class! We had to make a finale cake and it could be anything we wanted! I made a flower!

The icing on the side isn't the best since we were in a hurry and didn't have much time to finish! I think it's really cute though! We start our next class making flowers on Monday! I hope my flowers turn out good! Just thought I'd stop by for a quick update! Don't worry there is plenty more to come and this weather is beautiful outside! Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Cupcakes Take the Cake!

Last week in our cake decorating class we decorated cupcakes! I absolutly loved decorating cupcakes it's by far my favorite so far.

A Little Update!

As I told you before I am taking a cake decorating class with my Mom. We decorated our first cake for my Aunt's birthday last Sunday. It's a Razorback cake of course! Don't be too critical it's our first one.

Our second cake decorating class we actually did make a cake! This is the one I made.
I think I could have done a little better but it's still not bad!

This week is cupcake week! YAY!! Who doesn't love cupcakes?

On Thursday I took a trip to Wye Mountain with my cousins. Wye Mountain is a Daffodil festival that has hundereds of daffodil's it's just beautiful!

A New Adventure!

My Mom and I recently decided to begin learning how to decorate a cake! So we signed up at my favorite store, Hobby Lobby, for the Wilton Cake Decorating Classes. Our first class was Monday night and we learned the Star technique and got to decorate some cookies. So without further ado here are my cookies.......

I think it's pretty good considering it's my first time ever doing something like this! Next week we actually are doing a cake and we have to make buttercream icing (YUM)! I'll be sure to keep you updated in our progress!
