Gloomy Weekend

This weekend was a pretty relaxing one. It rained almost all weekend so we did things that involved being inside for. Friday we went over to a friends house and played Skip-Bo!
I haven't played this game in years and it was a lot of fun. I actually really want to play again ha! They cooked some ribs, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, and corn it was a yummy meal. It was fun to get out and have a relaxing but fun night.
Saturday was a nice day until the evening then it turned into rain and cold weather yuck! It even snowed in some parts of Arkansas. CRAZY!! So we went to a friends house again!
The Hubby played some poker with the guys while I stayed inside and watched some tv with the other wife there! It was nice to relax and have some girl time while the Hubby got to have some guy time.
Sunday it was still soo rainy and cold so I got up went to church and came home. Heath left to go back to Hope for work that evening and I headed back to church to help with the little kids bible memorization. I came back home and relaxed the rest of the evening.

Tomorrow I'm going with my cousins to this beautiful place- Wye Mountain - for the daffodil festival. I'm sure I will have tons of gorgeous pictures so be ready. Have a GREAT week everyone!

AMERICAN IDOL THURSDAY

This week on American Idol the top 12 performed on the big stage. I thought some were excellent and others not so great. I absoultly love Siobhan Magness and she is by far my favorite so far. As for the performers on the reveal show I didn't care so much for. I liked David Cook. I didn't really like Orianthi and I thought Ke$ha's performance was weird. It was kind of lady gaga ish! Just a little weird. So the bottom three of reveal night were Paige Miles, Tim Urban, and Lacey Brown.

Lacey Brown was the one sent home. I was kind of glad I just didn't really get into her music! I thought she had a good voice but I guess it just wasn't my taste. Although I think I would have much rather Tim Urban go home than Lacey Brown, but I am one person and I guess others felt differently!

Random Weekend Recap!

This weekend was a pretty laid back weekend we decided not to do to much since we have been busy lately. I have a lot of random things to talk about so enjoy this random weekend recap post!
1. My Mom and I went to the mall Saturday morning to look for Easter dresses. While we were there it just happened that Felix Jones that played for the Arkansas Razorbacks and now plays for the Dallas Cowboys was there to promote his new cologne line at Dillards. So you could pay $50 for his autograph but we didn't we had this really tall guy use our phone to take a picture. It's not the best but hey, it was cool to see him!

2. I got my Easter dress Saturday! I really want to show everyone but I'm waiting and you will just have to wait till Easter to see! I know cruel huh?

3. New Moon comes out on DVD this week! I'm so excited! Don't tell anyone but I'm pretty sure I'm about the only girl that hasn't seen it yet! I can't wait to get it!

4. Remember me telling you I was obsessed with zebra print lately? Well, I ordered a new zebra print belly button ring and phone case! They should be in soon and I can't wait!

5. This whole Daylight Savings time change has me confused! I'm not sure what time it is and I'm soo sleepy!

6. Ok I really want an IPHONE!! Unfortunatly I have Verizon and I just got a new phone in December. Any ideas?

7. I am looking for crafts to make. If you know of any please let me know!

8. I want to thank you all for reading my blog even when I do boring posts like this ha!

I told you this was a random post! Have a GREAT week everyone!

AMERICAN IDOL THURSDAY

Ok hopefully American Idol Thursday will actually start back on Thursday's! Anyway this week I thought there were some good performances and then I also thought that some that were doing good didn't do so well. This week the ones voted off were........................
Katelyn Epperly! I hadn't decided if I liked her yet but I wasn't quite sure that she needed to be voted off. I thought that there were a couple of others that did worse than she did.
Lilly Scott! I am sad to see her go! I really thought she brought something different to American Idol and I thought she deserved to stay.

Todrick Hall! I am glad to see him go! I thought he acted like he was so much better than everyone just because he had performed on broadway with Fantasia. Who cares? Anyway, I am glad he is gone!

Alex Lambert! I am glad he is gone, I thought his voice was way too whiney! I also thought he just wasn't as strong as the others. I thought he had a good tone like Maroon 5 but just not strong enough yet.

All in all I thought that the guys that went off were good choices but I wasn't so thrilled with the girls that left. I think Ellen is getting better as a judge I think she is getting more comfortable but I still cringe everytime I hear her give feedback to a contestant. She usually tells them the same thing and I don't think she has changed it at all. I do like her sense of humor on the show though. It definetly livens things up. So until next week................

Marvelous Monday

Today has been a good Monday! I headed to the recording studio this morning and worked some more on my song. I will hopefully be done with it by next Monday!! After my lesson I headed to get my nails done with a friend. I decided to do something different this time since I always get the same thing and it was kind of getting old. So I decided to do this................
ZEBRA PRINT!!! I LOVE IT!!! I'm soo excited I decided to do it. I have recently become a little obsessed with zebra print and I have been looking for lots of cute zebra print things. I got a shirt a few weeks ago that is zebra print and I have found this...............
adorable belly button ring that I have to have! I also really want a new zebra wallet because mine is starting to fall apart :( OK enough about zebra. I also got a few new shirts today! I got two tie dyed tank tops and a cute new one that I can't really explain how it looks ha! So this was a good day but I'm sad it is supposed to start raining tonight and Mr. Sunshine will be going away for a few days. Anyway, I think I'm kind of rambling now so that's all I have for your Monday!

What Did You Do This Weekend?

This past weekend I was pretty busy! We started off Friday by relaxing at the house and being lazy since we were going to be busy the rest of the weekend. Saturday morning I had to sing at the Vilonia Royalty Pagent so I got up early and sang two songs. It was great to be on stage! That evening was the George Strait, Reba McEntire, and Lee Ann Womack concert. It was a great concert and I loved going! Thanks Mom and Dad for the tickets!

LeeAnn Womack!
Reba McEntire and Lee Ann Womack singing Does He love you!

Barbara Jean from the Reba Show made an apperance and it was HILLARIOUS!!

Reba left and came back not two minutes later in a cab to sing Fancy!
Reba McEntire!
George Strait!

As much as I love George Strait I liked Reba's show better! She made a better performance and you didn't know what was coming next! Sunday I got up feeling terrible! Those spring allergies are really kicking in. I went to church for Sunday School but came home after that and rested all day. Hopefully I will feel better soon!

Since I missed recaping ya'll on American Idol I had to make up for it! I was pretty happy with the ones that got voted off this week!

Jermaine Sellers- I just didn't really like him and was glad that he went home. I thought he had a good voice but I don't know there was something about him.
John Park- I was soooooooo glad he left. I didn't like him at all and couldn't wait till he was off the show. I think he should stick to singing in his college group!
Haeley Vaughn- I was kind of sad to see her go. I really did like her but I just didn't think she was as strong as the other girls. I still had hope though!
Michelle Delamor- I was just starting to like her but I can see why she was voted off. The Creed song she sang was awful and she should have chose a different song!
Anyway, I thought they made pretty good choices and all in all it was the right ones to go. I hope you all have a GREAT week and hopefully it will be short ha!

Update and American Idol

WARNING: LONG POST!! I can't believe that I haven't had time to blog lately! I feel so out of the loop and I'm sad that I missed out on some GREAT giveaways, but I'm back now! First of all I want to start off by saying that I'm a little upset that people aren't showing as much kindness and support for Chile as they did for Haiti. It may not have been as bad as Haiti but it was bad enough and I still think they deserve as much support. I have been sick lately so we have been watching quite a few movies.
Couples Retreat- I didn't really like this one. It just wasn't as funny as I expected it to be. It was still pretty good just not really what I expected!
The Hurt Locker- Incredible! I thought it really showed what our troops go through and definetly kept me involved!

American Pie: Book of Love- Not so good. I think if the original cast had been in it that it would have been better but not as good as the old ones.

Terminator Salvation- Great movie. It made me really want to keep watching it. I didn't really like the ending though.

Now as I have missed the last American Idol post :( I wanted to do it today. As you know two girls and two guys were voted off last week.
Ashley Rodriguez was the first girl to go. I thought she was good but not as good as the other girls so it didn't really bother me that she went.
The second girl was Janell Wheeler. She was good but not good enough. The girls are just really strong this year.
Joe Munoz was the first guy to go. I thought he should have stayed, there were other guys that did worse than him.
Tyler Grady was the second guy to go. I was kinda sad about this one. I wanted him to stick around for a little while to see what he could do. Maybe it was just the 70s rock ha!

I'm not so thrilled with how Ellen is doing on the show. I just think she is not as experienced in the music business as the others and doesn't really know what she is talking about when she gives her feedback to the contestants. What do you think? Anyway, I am excited to see what happens this week on American Idol so don't forget to tune in tonight! Should be interesting as always.
